Vanaoue, Estonia
16.9.-25.9.2024
In September I visited the Baltic countries for the first time in my life. I’ve landed in Latvia
and from there I’ve travelled to a beautiful oasis in the woods, with a river floating near, in
Estonia. It was a place with such a peaceful atmosphere, but what it made even more
meaningful were the people. I could talk about activities we did, about topics of marine
pollution, about hikes, about kayaking (for free!) or about our incredible cultural nights, but I
won’t do that.
What meant more to me were little moments in between, our late nightkaraokes, laughter as a universal language or being taught how to swear in four differentlanguages. Estonia was beautiful, but I would have enjoyed every minute spent with thesepeople anywhere. If you are a young person wondering if you should go to a youth exchange, GO! Life has much more to offer than what you think 🙂
