Do you know that feeling, when a “project” ends and the organization asks you to complete your dissemination?
You’re still in the blissful state of missing the people you met, processing all the knowledge you brought home in your luggage, and dissemination is the last thing on your mind.
This is exactly why we needed this mobility.
And this is exactly why 35 youth workers – active but also aspiring ones – met in Buzau for 8 days to uncover the secret of valuable and enjoyable dissemination. We went beyond theory – and practiced what we preached.
Already on Day 2 many of us admitted – Something Here is Missing – and it was the practical application and difference between dissemination and exploitation, between project and a mobility.
Turns out, what was missing wasn’t motivation. It was method.
We spent one afternoon in World Café format, moving between tables like nomads with sticky notes, letting ideas travel between people who’d never have sat together otherwise. By the third rotation, the paper looked like a strategy … and it was the building step for what was coming next.
The Fish Market, a method that started it all – we worked as teams, let our creative juices flow and truly experienced what is going on behind the scenes of preparing, facilitating, disseminating and in a playful way exploiting a non-formal learning activity.
No PowerPoint has ever generated that kind of fun and meaning at the same time.
There came Forum Theatre on the topic of sea pollution, simulation that pushed us further and showed our little judgements about blind community, we tested and improved career interviews for youngsters that feel stuck in their career, through feedback we improved and learnt in every single aspect.
By Day 7, nobody was asking „what is dissemination“ anymore. We were living it – badly, then a little better, then well enough to bring home.
